Faith Matters
Your Faith Makes You Whole Part 1 By Pastor Henry Adams, Jr. Scripture: Mark 11:22 And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God. The first thing we have to do is have faith in God. All of us have to have faith in God. You can’t have faith in anyone without knowing what he says. The only way you can have faith in me, you have to know what I have said, so that you can have faith in me. You can’t have faith when you don’t know the will of God. Knowing the will of God puts you in the area where you can trust Him. And you can have faith in Him when you know what He says. Your Faith makes you well, it makes you whole. The bible talks about more than one kind of faith. It speaks of Little Faith, No Faith, Great Faith, and Strong Faith. Faith does not start off little. Something happens for your faith to be diminished. Something happens for your faith to loose faith. It doesn’t just happen, something causes it. There are a lot of things that can cause a person’s faith to become small. Some folks start off with good faith, but things happen, circumstances change, and they start getting weaker and weaker. They didn’t start off that way; they started out batting a hundred. | Matthew 9:18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. If you ever want to get anything from Jesus, learn the secret. When it looks like it’s not working, Worship. When it looks like you can not get through; learn to Worship Him. Worship will bring him right into your presents every time. Look at the 19th verse, And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. When you Begin to worship Him He will follow you. If you think Jesus is not alive, and He can’t follow you, you are fooling your self. I’m not serving a dead God, Jesus follows me. Sometimes, to some folks it looks like He is in heaven, to me He is on the inside. He’s with me. And if He’s with you, you can call on Him. He will follow you. Matthew 9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment; 21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. Well and Whole are the same thing. When this woman touched Jesus, she made Him | unclean. A high Priest can not be touched by someone with a flow of blood. When she touched Him it made Him unclean. He was made unclean as far as the Law is concerned. Spiritually speaking, He’s still Jesus. The Law had him. The law of the Jews says when a High Priest touches a person with an issue of blood; they become unclean as far as the law is concerned. But He was still God Almighty. So now that they have Him classified as unclean, they aren’t going to say anything when He goes into Jairus house. So that gives Jesus time to go on ahead and raise her from the dead if he wants to. All kinds of good things can happen if your faith is right. If someone tells you, ‘Jesus won’t follow you; you know what you’ve been doing!’ Tell them no no; I might have been unclean before, ahh, but now… or they might say ‘I don’t know why she is crying, look at what she has been doing.’ It makes no difference what you’ve been doing. I don’t care what you think about me! Come touch me. We are here to be touched. Jesus wants you to touch Him. It doesn’t make any difference what your circumstances are, or how bad you have been. People won’t come to church because they feel so bad. Put your feelings behind you and get out there and touch Him. |
